Ultrasonic Transducers

We are delighted to be able to offer our first ranges of Ultrasonic Transducers designed and manufactured in house by a team with extensive probe design and NDT exprience, guaranteeing the highest possible quality, timely deliveries and competitive prices.
If you have a special application that requires a non-standard probe, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Shearwave/Angle probes

Shearwave or Angle Probes are more commonly used for inspection of welds in fabricated parts, but are also used where standard Compression Probes cannot be used (e.g. complex Geometric shapes).

All of these probes are available in 8mm x 9mm rectangular crystals on request.

Twin Crystal Angle Beam transducers available on request.

Our new  MA probes,  constructed using with Piezocomposite material,  improves the overall probe performance especially due to the gain high sensitivity in combination with well damped signals. These composite transducers have shown to have a 10dB higher amplitude than the standard piezo material, additionally the composite probe has a shorter pulse when compared with the standard probe.  These are now avaialble in 2MHz and 4MHz frequencies in 45, 60 and 70 degree angles.

Twin Compression probes

Twin Compression Probes are usually used on thinner sections from 5mm to 100mm. That’s the CD 10/5MHz, adding the wear-ring will improve the life of the probes. These are scrubbing probes that wear down the Perspex with use, so paying a bit more for the wear-ring to be fitted will prolong the life of the probe.
