New Engineering Team Member

At Baugh & Weedon, we are pleased to introduce Rizwan (Riz) Latif to our team as a Software Development Engineer.

Riz’s first contact with the non-destructive testing (NDT) industry was during a three-month placement at Sonatest, while completing his Masters at the University of Central Lancashire in 2000. For his masters, Riz fully wrote the transducer testing application, SonaCert. Riz stayed at Sonatest for the following seven years where he built on his Software skills, combining them with NDT technology.

During his time at Sonatest Riz also understudied some of the Senior Software Engineers on the embedded side of Software Engineering.

Riz then moved out of NDT for some time where he joined Pace in Saltaire, a world leader in technologies, products and services for the PayTV and broadband industries. As well as working in the Test Department as a Software Engineer, Riz also worked in the Network Interface Group (NIG) software team who provide highly critical software support to the rest of NIG group, as well as numerous Pace teams across 4 continents, while collaborating with silicon vendors on design, debugging and integration of their drivers.

Baugh & Weedon have since recruited Riz to support our Technical Manager, Noel and provide cutting edge Software Engineering on new projects and products.
